OUR INSTRUCTOR

Gerardo (they/them) is a writer and instructor from Caguas, Puerto Rico. They have a BA in English from Vassar College and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California Davis, where they taught introduction to creative writing. They write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, plays and more.
Their work in Spanish includes the books Retratos hispanicos (poemas sin rumbo), Yéndome, and bocádos — plus pieces for the Revista del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña and the newspaper El Nuevo Día. Their English work has been featured in BarBar, JUNQ Magazine and Action, Spectacle.
